The results of the Housing.Yu project are entered and structured in the VANIS (Visual Artists Network Information System) information system. The system was developed within the research projects Artnet (2014–2018) and Globe Exchange (2020–2023) at the Institute of Art History, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), and is a publicly accessible digital resource and research tool. Within the system, two new Housing.Yu modules are being developed to capture standards for housing estates and housing units – apartments, residential buildings and single-family houses – realized in Yugoslavia.
Digital tools are used not only to organize data, but also to investigate the volume, origins and dynamics of trajectories of knowledge exchange, to identify social networks of individual actors, and to detect temporal and spatial overlaps and relations that can only be observed through such analytical approaches.
